What is "Jamboree"?
What is Jamboree?
A Jamboree is a large-scale camping event organized by Scouts. It can be held at national, regional, international, or world levels. By participating in a Jamboree, you can interact with Scouts from around the world, transcending differences in race, religion, language, and customs.
The Nippon Scout Jamboree is held in Japan once every four years. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the previous event was held in a distributed format across the country, so this will be the first gathering-style jamboree in eight years. Scouts and Leaders from all over Japan, as well as Scout friends from overseas, will come together to grow through camp life and participation in various programs.

This theme carries our great wish for everyone to "move forward strongly toward the future and begin!" through the Jamboree.
This phrase is packed with our hope that, together with Scouts gathered from across the country and overseas, while cooperating in Patrols and challenging programs, you will gain heart-shaking new discoveries and excitement, and start carving out your own "path to the future."
Event Period
August 4 (Tue) - 10 (Mon), 2026
Right in the middle of summer vacation, this timing allows you to step away from school classes and homework and use your own time. Spend time with Scout friends from across the country and overseas for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
It's filled with time to get excited about Patrol activities while cooperating with Scout friends, have slightly thrilling experiences in nature, deepen friendships, and look toward the future. Moreover, since it only happens once every four years, it will be an irreplaceable summer that colors your life.
Venue
Jinsekikogen Town, Hiroshima Prefecture
Jinsekikogen is a town on the mountains in eastern Hiroshima Prefecture. With an altitude of 500-650m, the maximum temperature in August during the day is around 30°C. It cools down to about 22°C at dawn, making for a relatively comfortable climate. Depending on the site, there's a nice breeze, and nights are cool - you might need a light jacket.
Furthermore, the host area Jinsekikogen Town is a region rich in delicious local specialties such as tomatoes, grapes, mushrooms, and Jinseki beef. Through the Jamboree, you can also experience the charm of Jinsekikogen Town.
Event Scale
8,000 people
For this Jamboree, approximately 8,000 people including Scouts, Leaders, Girl Scouts, and related organizations from all over Japan and overseas will gather at Jinsekikogen.
Of these, about 6,400 will participate as Contingent members in the camp, and about 1,600 staff will support the operations. The venue will be filled with Scout smiles and enthusiasm for seven days straight. An event of this scale and duration is unique to the Nippon Scout Jamboree.
